“I would not describe the boat as modern and comfortable. It was a small boat with cushioned seats. There are no food and drinks offered or for sale. Only fits about 8 people. The ride out to sea was rough and I feared for my life at times. There is no sonar equipment so we were just chasing the bigger fishing boats that have that and only saw a few whales from very far. We did see a sea turtle and sea lions. The captain did not share any information about whales.”

“Very nice, very fun crew. A good experience in all, but most definitely be prepped to take off late. (Our thing said departure of 5pm and I believe we left close to six)..so be prepared to wait. In fairness, we booked through Viator, so perhaps their instructions were wrong. Also, the food stated a ham baguette. It was actually tuna fish from a can with chips and salsa.”

“Viator advertised this as $66 per person,but when we got to the check-in kiosk, he tackled on an extra $50 per person $25 was for the “optional insurance “, which turned out to be not so optional. The other $25 were to enter the park, which was not disclosed in the description. The guy at the checkin was super evasive with my questions and was trying to confuse me. He kept speaking English even though I was speaking to him in spanish so that it was easier for him to explain. Do not come here or call ahead for all hidden fees.”

“What we did enjoy was we saw 2 whales & all the famous landmarks. Although there was an advertised restroom on board as well as water on board. There was neither. I am pregnant and book specifically because these were advertised. I was so thirsty and also had to use the restroom so it made my experience uncomfortable. I also booked an English speaking tour because we don’t speak Spanish. The tour guide knew very little English. I’m just glad our kids had fun.”

“Amazing experience! Was able to see whales, the arch, swim in the water all in 2 hours. Was the perfect amount of time. Provided us with water and beer. And we requested food and they took care of us!”

“I met with the guide Tano (?) on the malecon. There were two other people on the trip, a pair who used a tandem kayak. All three were fluently bilingual (primary Spanish, spoke excellent English). Sadly I know only rudimentary Spanish. On the paddle through the bay, I was generally pulling up the rear. The paddle was moderately difficult, fighting tide, current, and winds. The were also moderate waves of 2 feet or so. Not a paddle for someone not used to kayaking, not comfortable with waves/wakes, or unfit. During the entire paddle over to the mangroves, which took about 45 minutes (would've been faster if I had paddled faster),…”

He was he was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable through out. He also did a great job, assessing our skill levels and modifying the experience to allow us to get the most out of it.”
